i am at my wits end. i have 30 hens in a 10 x 40 foot house. they also have a half acre of yard to peck around in. i have 7 nest boxes spread out over the barn for them. their boxes consist of a 20 gal rubbermaid, perch in the front, under their poop table/roost.
they ALL lay in one...
does anyone have a REALLY effective way of dealing with groundgogs -- other then ss. they are buroughing under our raised coop. hubby did manage to take out mama, but the newbies are setting up house. thanks
have questions about my young cockerals fighting. if this isn't the correct board, please direct me.
today, i went out to check the coop, food, dishes. i had two young cocks going at it pretty good. one, a white orp. the other one, was sold to me as a delaware egg - but he is COMPLETLY...
how steep can the ladders to the roost and/or the entrance to the coop be? is a 90 degree slope that rises approx 3 foot (the ladder being approx 6 foot long) too much for lf hens to fathom? thanks.
