How much Tetroxy HCA-280 per gallon?

I'm so glad we can have this conversation. Most people just want the answer. I think there is enough error in our measurements that what you originally posted gets us into an acceptable ballpark. Hopefully this thread helps others. Best of luck with your birds

How much Tetroxy HCA-280 per gallon?

Hi wasteaway, We're going through the exact same math this morning. (The Ag Extension suggested going ahead with antibiotics although we cannot confirm a bacterial infection. I'm skeptical because of fears of overmedication and bacterial resistance, but we'll try it.) There is a slight...

Chicken Ate Amdro Ant Bait 20 Minutes ago! Help!

Hey guys, Thanks for the suggestions. I'll put poison control on our fridge. Charcoal does sound interesting... I may get some activated charcoal in case this ever comes up again. It's been almost two hours and she is still out scratching a pecking like any other chicken. I read somewhere...

    Henrietta is a Mom!!!

This is day 20 for my first time broody. She has been sitting through some pretty rough conditions. Temperatures as low as 13 F for two nights, highs not much above 30 at the best. Uninsulated plywood coop, heat lamp 3 feet up and just off to the side. We are so proud of her. Waiting for the sun...

    How long sitting!

Hi. I also have a broody hen that has been sitting for 20 days. I found this site to be helpful. http://www.themodernhomestead.us/article/Broody-Hens-1.html I have had a heat lamp over my hens nesting area for the last couple of nights. It is currently 27 degrees F with about 1 inch of snow...

Do your birds drink less water in winter?

Quote: I too have noticed that my girls drink less water in the winter. Maybe because it is not as warm outside or possibly because they are laying less? By the way, Hi! from Fleetwood (that is if you are from W Jefferson NC )
