I have played around with breeding Olive eggers and I had beautifully muffed brown egg layers but I find the tighter the pea comb the bluer the egg. Ameraucanas should have a pea comb.

Ok, Marans should have dark shanks but if the bottoms of their feet were black as chicks wouldn't that denote that they have black skin? I am not an expert!
