so sorry about your losses can you put bowls in the freezer with water at night and then put the big chunks in the coop during the day? might be able to keep the heat down a little.

i lost Masie last night, neighbors dog chased her and despite calling for two and half hours she didn't come home. i even slept outside the coop door hoping she'd come back. has anyone had a chicken come home after a night out?
