Anyone interested in some rooster? I'm rehoming my Sumatra roo and my Austrolorp roo. Sumatra is 2 and Austorlorp is 7 months old. I am keeping my Silkie roo so am wanting to find homes for our other 2. The Sumatra is aggressive so not a pet or show bird. He was attacked by a hawk when he...

My first hatching! Had a tragedy with the 3rd egg and our cat getting to the incubator. Woke up at 2:30 am to the sound of chirping to find the bator on the ground, one chick out, one in shell chirping and one egg ( needed at least another day of development) smashed. We have 2 very active...

So excited! First hatching ever and I've got 3 of my 4 eggs with some "wiggles" in them! The 4th was a dud but for my first hatching I'm happy with the ratio. Also does anyone want to buy my evil rooster? He's a gorgeous Sumatra Roo with 2 crooked toes ( happened as a chick ) and I just don't...

Got a good surprise yesterday when I discovered our Sumatra hen is actually a rooster! And that we have a breeding pair of Golden Campines! We ordered ours from Meyers back in Feb as the rare breed assortment and they are just now reaching the age of being able to look and see what they are...

Pig is on the list of animals we want but finding one we can afford is proving hard. Prices are so high for animals right now! I'm sick with the prices of bottle baby goats and sheep.

King or Rat snake ( unsure as to which it is) harmful to chickens? Discovered what I estimated to be a 5ft long 1.5 round black snake on a dirt pile we have in the future goat pasture and need to know about it and my chickens. I want it to stay around if it's harmless because it's eating the...

I don't but I can get one. We are still working on interior. Got to add more structural support and nesting boxes. Right now it's just roosts. But all in all, it's a great little coop and our flock seems happy with it.

Our biddies got fresh air yesterday when they were let into the new yard DH made them. I grabbed my Sumatra hen for a quick photo but my Ancona ( named Peckerhead ) got jealous and wanted to be held too. Didn't get a photo of that though. Would love to get a Sumatra roo and a Blue Splash Maran...

    What am I? -breed-

That's why I had a hard time guessing because Java was the closest match in coloring and face. The leghorn is too thin to be her breed. She's pretty round. Could be an Ancona. Have to wait till her comb comes in. She doesn't have any currently at 6 weeks old.

    What am I? -breed-

That's what I figured. We really got a great mix. Got 2 Golden Campines too, 2 Blue Splash Marans, 6 Buff Brahmas and still haven't figured out the other 9 breeds yet.
