    our chickens are fed grower still..... I don't consider them free range but I do let them out some during the day but not much since now they have no interest in going in their portable run... the shell on the egg we got today seemed fine but I will get some oyster shell to offer anyway...

    COOL...just watched my chicken lay her 1st egg/our 1st egg!!!!!

    6 chickens and not far.... just depends on where I move the run to. Probably the farthest would be 100 feet... I don't mind carrying them but I don't wanna stress them out because they don't seem to like being carried too much...

    I have 2 black stars and 4 br's ( at least i hope br's and not sexlink males) they are 13 weeks old. I have no idea when they will begin laying... are there signs to look for? Not sure when to give them layer feed either..
