looking forward to knowing how to tell the difference.... i got a 1day old lavender aruacana chick from a breeder (that only breeds aruacanas) only to be told by a few ppl on here that its an EE not aruacana.....

OK i no i have asked about these guys a couple of times already but they are now 8wks old so im hoping to get a final consensus as to what they are, as i live in the city we are not aloud any roo's so i need to re-home any possible roo's before they start to crow... Im pretty sure i have 1...

Gordis and Orio look just like my Light Sussex.... but im only new to chickens so probably completely wrong lol

OK so the chicks are slightly older now.... the two light sussex are 5wks 5days old and the other 3 (aruacana, barred rock and Hyline) are 6wks 2days. The Barred rock is still alot smaller than the rest?? and with the two sussex one has a tail one does (as you will see)

ok iv been keeping a close eye on the chicks... and if pullet chicks are more quiet/tame/friendly then the two light sussex and the hyline are pullets as they have no problem being picked up etc as for the barred rock and Araucana they are sooo feisty! if you pick them up the flap there wings...

thanks everyone will wait a few more weeks and then take more pics to see if they still seem the same mix

OK first time posting on this site, i have 5 chicks that are 4 almost 5weeks old (they are all hatched within 3days of each other) The lady i got two from has put in her guesses as to how many girls and boys i have and she suggested posting on here to see other peoples opinions so here goes All...
