Earwigs have infested my chicken coop. It has a metal tray you can pull out to change the bedding and when I pull it out there are 100's of earwigs underneath. I do DE mixed in with the shavings but this hasn't made a difference and I hose it out once a week. I am not sure it will harm the...
One of my chickens... a black sexlink is starting to get a pretty greenish tinge to her feathers. I thought sexlink meant that you can tell sex by the color. And I guess I thought that green feathers meant roo??? Ugh I keep getting roos.

Anyone ever have this??? She sounds like a duck or even better a goose. She does it when she is trying to get the other chickens to do what she wants. She is really loud. its so weird.

So these two were sold to me as Araucanas... I have a feeling they are just regular EE's but my suspicion is that the light colored one is a cockerel. They are 6 weeks old.
