It's Spring time to see some baby game pics
Aseel (front) and a Harold Brown Grey x Blueface American Game
Cubalaya
Spangled Thai
1/2 Assel and 1/2 Miner Blue American game and yes he slept on top of the waterer as soon as he could fly
My father has an annoying habit of refering to my chickens by their hackle color... he's a fly fisherman. If you hand him a rooster he immediately wraps one of the hackle or saddle feathers around his finger and inspect it I guess we all love gamefowl for different reasons!
I think it will be a pretty cross and you can't blame the hen... who wouldn't want a nice game rooster, trim, athletic, protective, good dancer, good provider Was it the previous owner who told you he was crossed with leghorn?
This thread is about what we love about games... not topics that will get the thread locked!!! Please keep on track here we need a good game thread that educates and doesn't get locked.
They were originally bred as games and are still technically considered a game breed and I hear that some lines even maintain the character and spirit of games, that and I said OEGB were fine so I can't really say no to sumatra can I?
That's a dangerous request Wayne, but I'll load up photobucket and see if I can't comply...
Here is a hungry Spanish x Miner stag
Harold Brown Grey pullet
Miner Blue
Lacy Roundhead
Toppy x Roundhead
What we call 'Grey Pyle'
Yes I have them (Polish, Cubalaya, Cornish and Malay) but some of these breeds aren't known for their egg laying prowess... Malays are very light layers but as soon as I have eggs I will get them posted. Do you Shamo eggs pictured yet?
They definately bond in their little pair or trio and all stick together. The rooster may still chase and breed an available yard hen but he'll return to his hens when it's over. I don't think my oriental hens would allow another hen to join the flock.

Thanks for the help, I've wondered what to call these guys and...
Well we keep Miner Blues so I'm hardly a Wildcat expert but I believe they have some Hatch in them... blues really are some of my favorites in part for all the colors they throw...
Blue
Pyle
Mine do well with a big outdoor run and a large indoor area and they are mixed with layers and a few odd crosses that I liked enough to keep. We're in the midwest but they survive winter very well here, we put lots of straw on the inside floor and that's about it and have never had a problem...
Oh me next!!! these two make me scratch my head and wonder, and any help would be appreciated. What color is he? Mom was a standard wheaten.
How about this guy? I was told he was dun at hatch based on his down color.
I do have pics of all the broodstock for at least 3 generations, so if...
