Hi there,
No Chickens don't need feeding or watering at night, they should have access to it all day though. I leave all mine in the run so they only eat and drink in the day.
Hope this helps!
That is exactly where I live!! I think you have hit the nail on the head, that first pick on the link looks just like my chick (or what I can imagine it would grow into). Thanks so much for your help, I'll post a pic when it's fully grow. Thanks again everyone for your help!
It's a hard one. But I think you should take into consideration how this would make your husband feel, I know it would really bother mine that my ex could still make me feel so mad. He would think I had unfinished business, don't lower yourself!! Let him live his sad life and be content in the...
Just been on google and can't find anything for Polish/Andalusian cross, no images for any birds crossed with a polish. Maybe I'm not putting the right key words in. If I put in blue maran or andalusian the images are very similar minus the tuft. Could it be a flaw or mutation? I'm really puzzled.
Interesting, I recently joined and was able to post pics straight away so I presume they have listed that restriction. You just need to upload them and then copy and paste the HTML code (from the box that say's 'image' under the pic) on to your listing. This is something we all want to see!!
Thanks for that, I think he/she's going to be a large bird as it's the same size as my light sussex that I bought at the same time. It's quite fat, my polish are quite slim and long, would it not be smaller if it had polish in it? Also the colour how would you describe it light grey or blue...
When I bought this chick I was told it was 8 weeks which would now put it at 13 weeks. Due to the size I think it is more like 8 weeks now. Can any one tell me what it is? I did think Maran but it's started to grow a tuft on it's head.
This pic was taken 2 weeks ago:
and these pics were...
Around 21-23 days, mine looked just like you describe in the last week before hatching. They look black as there is not as much room in there for light to pass through the egg. The need the air pocket to breathe when they start to hatch. If the are ready to hatch you shouldn't be candling them...
Hi all,
I have a 16 week old RIR that seems to have what appears to be a hemorrhoid. It is only visible when she's pooing, it seems to be a struggle for her so she stands there for a while with her feathers all puffed out, when she does this I can clearly see a large round red thing sticking...
You poor thing, I don't own cats myself but my neighbors do they are always pooing in my garden and digging up my plants. Though it's annoying, I would never complain as that's just life. I was told that cats wont go in their own garden as it is their territory, or they wont go in another cat...
Hi there,
I'm in no way professional, but recently completed a college course in dreamweaver. I would recommend adobe dreamweaver CS5 plus the classroom in a book (for CS5) that accompanies this program. It is a lot of learning, but this is the program that is used for the most professional...
Hi all,
I recently mixed mine too. I was really worried about it, but needlessly so. As equinelyn did I let them see each over for a few days while still separated, then I just slipped them in at night (this is what most people recommend, as when they wake up together they just seem to presume...
No I'm not sure of the third either, I was thinking blue Maran, but I'm no expert. It's starting to grow a tuft on it's head (it's grown more in the past couple of days), could this be a male sign? I'm just thinking that the male seem to get all the fancy bits!!
