Wow that really stinks! And if those are the disease fact I don't see how a lot of us don't have it too. Preventing it seems hopeless! My flock must be majorly high risk...east coast, free range, wild birds eat out of my chicken feeders. But I like keeping them this way. :(
I got some smuggled in eggs lol. Frizzled polish and one MF cochin! Thank you!
However I never got an address to send something to...did I miss something? Sorry to whoever my buddy is it will be late
Lol patchouli does smell like dirt but...warm fresh spring rain dirt. It is my favorite scent but yeah it is pretty much a love it or hate it kinda smell. I love it mixed with sweet orange.
5/8 pretty chicks from crfarm. Well packed. These guys survived various power outage issues and popped right out despite saddle snapped air cells. Nice healthy chicks!
In addition before he even takes his first bite make him down and stay. Run your hands through his food. Only let him eat when you have given the release command. He needs to know he eats only when you are "done" and allow it.
This is my only EE, Copper, she doesn't look like one but she lays a big really blue egg...however you have to work to find them. This is her newest spot...
It is true. A lot of the county shelters only give bully breeds their 7 days even if they have the room. Most no kill shelters won't take the risk. If he is pure you can try the breed specific rescue but I think they answer may be the same. Unfortunately food aggression is one of the hardest...
Carry a spray bottle of water...if he is anything like mine they hate water and a squirt to the face if he is being naughty may help teach him some manners. Not sure if you will ever be able to trust a buck with kids though...even the nicest ones have some pretty unpredictable days.
It was fun! Still trying to figure out what I got lol but I am happy either way!
I was however jealous that your box was better decorated then mine!
Krafty I got a peek at your new boy and he is lovely! I would have tried to snatch him if he wasn't packed so far in the back of Herducks...
I would think, since she already met madam and is only about 2 hours from me, that she may be ahead of schedule. I haven't heard anything, just assuming.
