Can you believe it?? I even sold quite a few birds :-O It makes me sad, really depressing. But I just can't keep up anymore. I've got a bunch of rabbits here (placed some of them also) plus the dogs, the cats. If I could somehow manage to get down under 50 birds it would seem so so easy. I...

Your camera takes awesome pictures! I'm so thankful they have somewhere to go where someone appreciates them. To all who know me-Channing is still with me, of course :-) Ashley, there's someone that wants the 2 Cochins I got from you. Would you rather have them back instead? You have 1st dibs.

@SharkmanDan It just flat hasn't been warm enough & light enough for a long enough time for them to get into to laying good. Give them some time. I'm getting only a fraction of the eggs I get during the summer. My opinion only, but you're wasting money feeding expensive organic food and setting...

That's a huge crop, even for a big girl. I would definitely keep her without access to food overnight and make sure her crop has emptied by morning. Impacted crop can "feel" normal yet it just won't empty or won't empty completely overnight because something is bound up in there. They twist...

Teri!! I STILL have those 4 Orloff girls from you. Talk about healthy girls :-) And your sister at Four Corners-I just love her! She neuters all my rabbits and she's super good at it. I wish you all the best luck in keeping your birds.

@Poco Pollo , I love the letters! What's even cooler is I know some of your animals and your place. I was there the day you *got Hercules from Kass :-) Man....I'm going to be bummed when Kelly's chicken goes home and there's no more letters

Definitely not a Rex judging by the fur. I don't know what she is but she's sure pretty.

In 90% of my LF Cochin chicks and 100% my Brahma chicks the girls feathered out nice and full while the boys were still bald with stubby wing and tail feathers. You could start seeing the difference as soon as the wing feathers started coming in.

That's precisely how to deal with a mean dog, too. I think things like that are just instinct to certain people. At least he didn't get any of your birds.

They do. Put neosporin on it right away. I've got chicken and rabbit scratches up and down both arms though and never had a problem.

I'm scared to count mine now. I'm pretty sure I have more than that. Seramas don't count, right? My uncle says anything I'm feeding counts. But I don't think that's fair because I'm not feeding them that much

Deny it all you want, Kelly. We are sisters. Just pray for a swift end to the chicks, that's all you can do at this point. You already know you can't take them or it's just enabling the behavior. I wouldn't have even gone over there after the auction. And we all know how hard that would've been...

Robin, a possum. My husband killed 2 the other night slinking around the yard. The next time one killed my favorite rooster in the back yard area. He roosts way up on a building so I thought he was safe. The possum by-passed the "bait" roosters that would be easy to get and got my last Dark...

That's true. It's worthless without the citric acid crystals. People use that stuff almost always withOUT the crystals and they're just giving themselves a false sense of security.
