Yes 12 weeks. I believe, i got them all around the same time. But this one was a little slow, so i believe maybe a week or so younger not sure though. This one was in a Olive Egger bin, but looks too much like my other blue Aust, so i just go with Blue Aust.
Olive the Olive Egger is about 11 to 12 weeks old. Olive started to get a red comb, i am new to this breed, and the pea comb. So i am stuck. I hope Olive is a hen, but looks like a rooster? I have a few pictures, but i will be getting better ones of the wings, tail, saddle, and feet tomorrow as...
Yeah my birds free range, and maybe, they like to play by the tree, its an old tree with a lot of roots, but other then that i am very careful about keeping stuff up out of my yard. I have ponies as well, so i am always looking for things. I will have to check his run, maybe i missed something...
See thats what i dont get. I dont have another rooster, he is the only dude i got. They were not that long, they could be snagging but i dont see anything that would snag them like that.
I was starting to think maybe the roost or something its like a few feet up and he jumps up and down, i...
I am having a major problem with my Rooster, he is a big SS rooster, my guess ten pounds if not a bit more, he is a big bird.
Well i have been having problems with his feet. This past week two of his toe nails have broken off. I am not sure whats going on with his feet at all. They look pretty...
That sounds like plenty of room for 25 chicks. Really the more room the better they wil l grow into it. In my opinion anyways. As for being outside...It depends on where you live. You always have to take that into thought as well. March can be kind of cold pending location. So think about what...
Hey guys! Its been a long time since i have gotten on.
Anyways right to it, so far every year since i have had my chickens i have always seen the ducklings as well at the feed stores and all their cuteness. I have been thinking about this alot. TSC i think, you have to buy a min of 6 ducks...
Wait a bit longer. Leghorns get big cobs kind of fast. And really i don't see much cob. Wait until it is 8 weeks maybe so then post pics again, with a better side view of the chicks head so we can see the cob more.
Really they are not that hard to put together, Since you are only getting two maybe you should go on cragistlist and look for some kind of shipping crates or even some coops. People sell small coops on there too.
Really i think a run is needed. That way when your girls wake up they can go...
I have 2 SLW one looks so much different then the other. One has a skinny looking rose cob and the other is wider. I used to have a GLW chick who was supposed to be a pullet, turned into a roo, he had a wide cob as well. So anyone who deals with Wyanndotte's more then i have, since this is...
Yeah they should be fine. Mine took three days when i got them. hatch day, then they started shipping then i got them like two days after hatch. They were fine. Pends on the weather. As long as it doesn't drop to be too cold for them
