Something tore/chewed a good sized hole in the roof of our coop which is made of roofing panels. My girls were unharmed, but one lost a chunk of feathers. Could this be a raccoon?
I'm new to chicks, and one of them kicks his right leg behind him when he walk . Is this a form of spradle leg. I was told he was 5 days old, but he is much smaller than the other chicks and has fewer wing feathers.
Hi, everyone. I lost 3 out of my 4 hens last week to a predator, and my lone RIR is a lonely, traumatized little thing. I'm looking to replace my lost hens. Does anyone know of someone in the Griffin area who has laying hens for sale?
Last week, something got into our coop and killed 3 of my 4 hens. The last one didn't seem visibly injured, but now she won't come out of the coop unless we make her, and she's not eating normally. Is she traumatized, or should I worry that something is physically wrong with her?
We haven't had a problem in the 1+ year that we've had our hens, but today when my husband got home, 2 were dead and 1 is seriously injured (our of our 4 hens). It looks like either something nudged open the latch on the door to the boxes and got in the coop/run or someone in the family didn't...
One of my barred rocks has lost all her feathers on her rear and her back near her tail. She looks pitiful. She was 1 in April. Could this be molting or should I look out for something else?
Cool. I'm glad to see this thread.
I just finished a Gift Wrap Sweater for my DD and am just waiting on the buttons. I started a hoodie for my middle son, but I'm not sure I like it.
My oldest son was diagnosed with ADD last year. We had already spent a year changing his diet and sleep habits. That didn't work. We had an evaluation done and placed him on Vyvanse. The change is remarkable. Oh, he still acts like a 6-7 year old and still talks non-stop. BUT, he can...
I just finished these longies for my daughter. They still need to be blocked, but they are cute! They are really a pumpkin orange color but you can't tell it from my cell phone picture.

I can't crochet, so a friend made the flower for me.
My vacuum of 15 years died a few weeks ago. I really wanted a Dyson Animal but couldn't afford it. I scoured the sales pages and website looking for a deal. Finally, Target had it listed over $100 less than Lowes. I took the print out from the Target website to Lowes where they matched it...
That's really cute! She's going to love it. I wish I could crochet. I bought some hooks to play around with, but I haven't had a chance yet. Chickens got in the way.
