Brucifer thanks for your reply. I will take your rooster. Where are you located? I am giving the hens laying pellets and my other three hens are laying just fine every day. I just hatched 18 chicks out of 40 eggs this week. Here is a picture of them- chicken crazy11

I bought a black copper Maran rooster from someone and since I got him none of my eggs seem to be fertile. He is at least a year old and the lady I bought him from said he needs a lot of hens. What for? He doesn't breed with them and he and my original rooster fought and now my original rooster...- chicken crazy11
