One of my girls gave me this egg today the squares are one inch for reference. I candled it and it is a double yolker. I'm going to try and hatch it.

since it is such a big egg maybe it will have enough room to develop. Anyone ever hatch a double yolker?

good grief, did you take that poor girl a cushion to sit on after that?

ok nice, i dont travel alot because of physical issues, but im going to try and make it!

Paulding County is 61 miles away from me so I don't think I can make it even though I would love to.

We've got some folks that come from further than that. The farm is about 8 miles off I-20 from Villa Rica, pretty straight shot so it isn't bad.

Lordy, I've lost track of the total head count. We have chickens, ducks, geese, turkey, quail ... and a ton of hooves. Been at the birds for about 5 years, I guess. (I really can't remember.)

Thanks for sharing pics of the babies, they are so freaking cute. I still haven't figured out how that light one came out of one of my girls eggs.

@Flowerbh here are the pics of the polish hen/brahama roo mixed babies the one on the right is much bigger than the one on the left, so soft and fluffy

What do you think? Roos or hens.
