One of my girls gave me this egg today the squares are one inch for reference. I candled it and it is a double yolker. I'm going to try and hatch it.

since it is such a big egg maybe it will have enough room to develop. Anyone ever hatch a double yolker?

Dang bird will be walking funny for a week.

We need to have another chicken swap like the year before. So if you still have em and if you can go to the BBQ bring em. Don't forget we are doing the egg swap again!!!

Darn skippy we do. Hatching eggs for all! haha

I honestly feel sorry for the hen that laid that egg. Ouch! If it were speckled, it could easily pass as a turkey egg...lol

I have the patience to fish, but not to try to get a double yolker to hatch. If you're going to give it a go, I'll be sure to watch. Have your surgery gloves ready. Good luck!

I hear it's very rare that it works, usually there's just not enough space for both chicks to develop and it just doesn't work out. That's a dang big egg though, I'm excited to see if it does work for you! Best of luck!
I definitely won't forget! I'm very excited to be able to bring fertile eggs finally and not just mooch off the rest of y'all. XD
