Do you have something to haul the lumber with? (Truck/trailer)
If so, I may be able to help you (I have a saw mill)
I don't have any for sale or trade, but I have some excellent local sources. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll PM you.Howdy neighbor. Do you have pictures of your FBCMs and Silkies? I am looking for both.
I owned a tree service for many years in Louisiana, and I used to have a Lucas Mill portable sawmill. It was an outstanding portable mill. I sold it for $10k a little over 10 years ago. I'm not sure what they're going for now. The main advantage with a Lucas Mill sawmill is that you only have to fell and delimb the tree you want to mill. You don't have to move the tree to the sawmill location. Instead, you set up the sawmill right over the tree, and saw away. This is a huge advantage when milling large trees. The Lucas Mill sawmill cuts using a large circular blade instead a band saw. The result is "rough-cut" wood that needs very little planing. What kind of sawmill do you have Ron? I'm hoping to buy one soon, but I have a pretty strict budget.
