Holy cow! So the ducklings are about halfway feathered now. They are getting so active! I can now see why people say that they poop a lot, lol! I still love them regardless!

My Collie is great with my poultry. She was also great with the rabbits I used to have as well. I don’t know if it helped, but I would put chicks and other animal babies on her so she would get used to them :)

Speaking of which. I found out yesterday that they have claws…lol. One of the ducklings was stuck and had to help them out.

I had a little scare this morning. I have a German Shepherd who is 8 months, but I’ve only had him for about 2 months. Didn’t really get to work with him as a small pup. Long story short he ended up getting in the duck pen, then my Collie followed him in and kept him away from the ducks. Phew!

I believe it! It took my ducklings like an hour to get their water all nasty. Since they are getting their feathers in right now there are flakes all over the place. Ha!

I like the set up. I was hoping they could sleep in the dog house I got them but I guess they will be too crammed. Do ducks need nesting boxes or will they lay where they bed down? Kinda a dumb question but I want to make sure I make them as comfortable as possible.
