Hello everyone! I’m new to raising ducks and recently incubated some eggs. I decided to go with the Muscovy breed, as they have always caught my eye. I’m having some
Muscovy fever right now, and would love to see everyone’s adult birds! Feel free to post photos showing off your beauties!

Yay! Another Muscovy convert! Are the eggs still incubating? When are they due to hatch?

I have 2 x 3 yr. old Muscovy hens and I love them to bits, even when they are broody or otherwise moody. 10/10 recommend the breed!

Beautiful birds! They already hatched but unfortunately only five out of the forty-two hatched! Someone told me I might have better luck next time with an actual duck setting on them. Regardless we kept them and they are about two weeks old right now.

That is a bummer. I have heard they are difficult to hatch in a brooder. Luckily, they are amazing mothers

I also recently hatched some Golden Cascades. Those turned out great for my first duck hatch. I got fourteen out of the sixteen (and one of them just wasn’t fertile). I have heard Muscovies are great mothers. I’m excited to raise mine and let them have babies of their own!

I love muscovies, too! They are soooooo funny!!! Our 3 adults follow our dog around the yard and hang out with her in the outdoor kennel. Then, she slowly walks behind them to see where they go. Here are mine: Lady, TB, and Fat Louie (drake)

So adorable! I can’t wait until mine get old enough where I might be able to see what genders they will be.
