I don't use a needle. I have one of those long twist ties that came around stereo wire. I made a loop and pulled the ribbon through then treaded the wire from one whole to the next. Some I looped the ribbon over half a toothpick, put the toothpick into the egg hole and gently pulled the ribbon...- MissPrissy

Duck eggs are waxy and goose eggs have a different texture. You have to sand a little first to get things to adhere properly.- MissPrissy

Lesser made, stamped plastic sells for $5.99 at most any store. If you can get $7 go for it. The eggs are not free and neither is the work or supplies to create a 'green' ornament.- MissPrissy
