Thank you to all who have taken the time to tell all the tips and tricks for this awesome eggs!

I have been inspired by this thread! I saw it when it first came back in October, read through all the posts, and have been subscribed to it ever since. I have been taking notes from all the posts, just about ready! I started blowing out eggs in October, ordering and gathering supplies til now. I love all the egg ornaments that I have seen to date, alot of personality and talent out there! There will be a big gathering at my house for Thanksgving, so all the family will be making the ornaments, personalizing their own, as well as making others for gifts. We always do some kind of craft on our Thanksgiving celebration, but this one tops all the traditional ones that we are accustomed to! I love to bake all year round, but to get my egg count up for this big family project, ( I have blown out close to 400 of them), I have been baking away just so I can blow out the eggs! Family, friends and co workers are thrilled with all the baked goods and the chickens and dogs are just as happy to get all the left over egg that dont find their way into one of our meals or the baked goods.

The only ones not happy about my new venture are my regular egg customers because I have cut down on their orders.

Love everyones eggs, there is alot of talented people on here. x

OK...Been to town, got transfers, caps, stuff to hang them with, Mod Padge and glitter stuff. Came home, I just couldnt hold myself back so blew 1 of my duck eggs to see how it all works. Did the holes no problem, blew it out, dinged it in the microwave for 15 seconds 3 times and added a transfer. Hubby wanted to see how the caps stuck on with the hanging wire stuff, so got my glue out added glue to cap, stuck on egg..15 mins later its still not stuck to egg, took it off added more glue, 10 mins later still not stuck to egg. I bought E 6000, the woman in the store said it was the best stuff to use. Question is, is this glue the sort im ment to use coz it didnt stick to my eggs?
Also, Mod Podge..I brushed it on and wasnt to happy with the brush strokes you could see on it, sooo, sprayed some glittery stuff on it and it covered the brush strokes...hmmm, happy with that but...Can I just use a clear acrylic spray or do I need to use Mod Podge first then spray with clear Acrylic.
Thank you. x

I have not used mod podge I only use the spray sealer in gloss, but I think sonew123 has had posts about how to get the mod podge to look great.
