Anyone want to give me some advice on how to find the center of the top and bottom of the egg?

Apparently I can't eyeball dead center for crap - LOL - because some of my "egg holes" are so off-center, it's almost funny...

Dawn, I think your tree is very pretty and unique. And to think you did it yourself! I love it when someone takes something 'cheap' or ordinary and makes it beautiful. I truly admire people with your kind of talent

Well mine are ripe with charm then

. I did one with a ribbon and some beads on it like some of the talented people on here did........and a BIG FYI......if you add beads and your holes are WAAAAYYY off, the beads make them look even more way off - LOL. I have one egg that looks like it has a tail now. Too bad these are "charming" gifts for people - LOL.

I also found that if you have some of these egg ornaments on hand and someone stops by unexpectedly with a gift for you, you can quickly toss one of these in a small box and stick a bow on it and it looks like you had something for them too!

here's a solution I came up with to the off center problem... Instead of beads or any bottom decor I opt for keeping it simple and as flush as possible. I super glue a simple brass thumb tack in the bottom hole and let the egg speak for its self. I even found brass thumb tacks at wal mart that have a little star on them.

For covering the hole on the bottom problem, I have started putting a small rub-on over the hole and mod podging the heck out of it. As for the top, I do the same then glue the ribbon into the hole. So far so good!
