Blue/Brown Eggs, Easter/Christmas Eggs - Getting my craft on!!

Here I was embarrassed as some of mine look ridiculous.

I like that..."charm" yep, mine have charm alright!

here's a solution I came up with to the off center problem... Instead of beads or any bottom decor I opt for keeping it simple and as flush as possible. I super glue a simple brass thumb tack in the bottom hole and let the egg speak for its self. I even found brass thumb tacks at wal mart that have a little star on them.

now that you mentioned that, there's all kinds of pretty brads in the scrapbooking section.... same concept as a tack, but it has the longer things that you bend to the back side of the paper... but in the scrapbook stuff i bet you could find snowflakes and stars and all kinds of fun shapes...

I went to Hobby Lobby and went to the scrap booking department. Here is what I found.. for the "doggie eggs" I found a little package of bones and paw prints to put on the bottom of the eggs to cover the holes. One I had to add a bone as the hole was too big.

I used stickers on these eggs, big mistake..when I sprayed them with the spray Laquer they came up on the edges. Rub ons are easier, I got my rub ons from The Dollar Store. I haven't done them yet.
I had some tiny ornaments so I just removed the hanging caps and put them in the eggs

Is that an Arnel's pottery pattern plate?!

I just bought a whole set at the thrift store that was hand painted by someone with the initials DH in 1974. They are also Arnel's with the Mushroom motif. I have a comlete set with a napkin holder, cookie jar, basically everything. I'm no expert I just thought that plate was pretty

Ozark,

I noticed too that when I used the spray laquer, the stickers curled up as well. I think next time I'll use the mod podge on those--even though I don't care for the streaky lines it makes. They just look too good to end up with curled edges...ya know?!?!

I dont' know......I don't think it has anything on the bottom but I love it, I use it every time we make heaven eggs. I bought it at a yard sale for $0.25 cents I also got a Homer Mclauglin(sp?) platter for $0.50 at the same yard sale. I use them both all the time. Both pieces are old and have been used so I just keep using them
