    If your using hay for bedding look for mulch hay normal around $1.00 per bale stick your hand in there pull out a clump smell it if it's moldy leave it check more then one bale.     Getting back on track from pulling 46 hour shift, good to know I still got it in me-) We took the chicks back to the guy we got the eggs from as part of the hatching agreement ended up bring home three hens and a gray tiger kitten. So I'd say my first hatch paid off!

    Gramma nice birds seem a lot tamer then EE hatched out here. Canned beets this week 35 quarts water bath and my first time using the pressure caner. No matter how careful you are beet juice gets everywhere even on the dog (who loves blanched beets). My hen has been laying steady still waiting...
