@chicken danz For sure! I don't get on here near as much as I'd like. I'm always either working at my job, or working on pens.. lol.. Always working on the pens!! It's supposed to hit 48 here today!! My ducks are super happy to be swimming today! And my roosters are healing from frostbite...

@chicken danz I didn’t realize you were in Kansas. That’s cool! I sometimes don’t get the CK notifications either. I had forgotten about this thread for quite a while once. Lol. I like the light bulb idea. Fortunately, we should be well above freezing for a spell now. And not a moment too...

I ended up doing the same. I kept taking my igloo thermos out to each pen, taking new bowls, and rotating every hour or so. I did get the heated water bowl hooked up for my main flock. But some of the more timid won’t risk a fight to use the same water bowl as the others, so I had to take them...

Omgosh, this weather is stupid!! Everyone have fun breaking ice and fighting that wind!?

Good morning, Kansas! Are we digging that extreme temperature spike followed by the 50° drop??! Omg. I let my girls out yesterday morning, they looked around a bit, and one by one, went right back in the coop! Lol. They think it’s nonsense.
