Most hens will not eat their eggs. Some claim you can teach them not to but i have not found a way. I give the culprit away or invite her to dinner. Best to remove egg eaters as soon as found as they will teach others to do the same. I feed my flock and my flock feeds me not each other.
I have 8 together but would not recommend doing that unless they were raised together. If you have hens involved in the mix with them you are just asking for issues. I would recommend no more than two or three in with a group of hens depending on the number of hens involved.
No not mine as mine are looking ragged right now. They are breeding and fighting and fighting and fighting! They will start looking like that mid summer after breeding season is over for them.
It is sad but I am extremely happy with the two I got from darkbluespace They are running around and eating and drinking this am. I am up to 20+ serama and that's about all I can handle at the moment without overcrowding them. I need to get some new homes built this spring.... So I am looking at...
