I have been lookimg at your pullet, and you mentioned that you couldn't figure what could be deficient with her... First let me say... I think she is gorgeous! :-) But I wonder if he might be aiming for a darker hackle...Or... Maybe he wasn't crazy about her temperament??? I'm grasping at...
At this stage in the game, it would be much easier to buy BLRW from a reputable breeder that already has the correct color and type. Check out Foley's Waterfowl online. That will give you info on the history of the BLRW as well as show you pictures of what BLR should look like today.
. Probably genetic? I just wouldn't use her for breeding. As long as she is eating and drinking fine I wouldn't worry about it. She looks sweet and friendly.;-)
Pretty birds.:O S I guess I have 3 blues and a splash instead of two blues a black and a splash... Looks like I only have one pullet too...:-P Thanx everyone for your replies.

Not sure if you are planning on breeding these, but if you are I personally would get rid of all your roos and find a nice black blr to cross with your hens. That should give you more blue laced chicks instead of just splash, which it looks like you have. JMO... :-)
I had a feeling... :-) I have looked at his birds so often I can pick them out of a crowd! Hoping next year to get some of his lines. I know he isn't selling directly himself this year or next, so will have to buy from someone reputable that Carries his line of BLRW.
