Rachel,
The other Aussie thread was more of a general chat one, but it died a while ago. I haven't seen guinea or Christie for a long time now.
We've been to all the little towns in SA already, and I feel that after I've been once and seen everything, then I don't really need to go again...
I'm going over there with my German exchange, it was great when she elected Sydney as her preference for an out of town visit. I love going to Sydney, but we never really have an excuse to go. :ya
Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it? ;)
I remember I was on holiday for three weeks when...
How amusing! :P
But the 5 buck chickens thing reminds me - back at Christmas, I bought one of those Oxfam unwrapped chickens to give to some friends. Some of the options were really creative, but I hadn't much money at the time and felt too stingy to spend more than $10. I'm glad we don't...
Rachel - very cute little silkie! :love
Our formals usually happen around the middle of the year, term two or something strange like that. I always thought it made sense to have them at the end of the year too, but I guess the year 12s are very busy with exams around then. :P
I might've seen...
I might tell my friend about this, she adores making her own clothes. She's already planning ahead to our formal, and wants to make my dress too.
I'm more of an art rather than craft person. Perhaps I could enter one of my pictures, or something like that. I don't expect it'd get a prize...
:yuckyuck
as for the Show, I never knew there was a section where you could enter craft. I might even be interested. :pop What kind of stuff does it involve?
I know urrbrae. I think it's a good idea, most schools are so focused on sports and academics, it's good to give students who want to do...
I went to the Show last year, it was quite fun. Wandered around the chicken cages and had a look at all these interesting breeds I hadn't even heard of before. I did take a lot of photos, but I haven't the foggiest how to get them onto the computer. One of the men tending to the chooks let...
The eagle landing was pretty full on too. :P
One of the heron scenes, where the pair started jumping up and down together, that was cute.
A bit like how I wonder with all wildlife docs, I don't even know how they would manage to find where some of it was taking place!
It's pretty much a documentary about birds. It's pretty interesting. There was a great episode on last night, with a flock of millions of budgies in the outback; they looked like a swarm of small green insects from a distance. :P
As for feathers, I'd love to help, but we have trouble finding...
I see you've found everyone's hangout. :frow
I have a funny feeling the island is referring to Tasmania, but I'm not entirely sure.
And you think you're a newbie, I've never even set eyes on many of the breeds that are discussed here, we've only ever kept sexlinks for the eggs.
I'm...
It took me a few seconds to get the rubber one. :P
But nowadays most people call them erasers. I used to think it strange that nobody called it a rubber here.
There is always the option of not barracking for anybody. :old
When I first moved here, the Pies and Crows fans were practically...
Yanks filling up the thread? :P I love hearing from you guys. My favourite ATC supply would have to come from either New York or Dallas...
Your exchange experience sounds lovely. I've never lived in the country, so I would feel totally out of whack milking cows and having only one store in...
