Yes we had some of that strange moisture-like foreign substance falling from the sky last night too... We all stood outside in wonder cos its been so long since we've seen it... 9.5mm to be precise... Not tank-fillingly exciting, but I'll take it!!

I have to say... I love frizzles too! There's something so appealing about their beautiful fluffy feathers... I think these white ones look like angels!

Hey Lucas .... I ended up with the frizzles! Unfortunately only 2 hatched but they are going well... And are very cute... @rexy

I thought that was the case.... I just don't like them being caged up all the time! There is only 4 of them in a decent sized aviary, and I change their surroundings weekly by changing the mulch on the floor of their home between wood shavings, grass clippings, bamboo leaf mulch, pot plants...

I know a few people on here also keep quails.... So my question is, if quails were let out of their pen to free range like I do with the chooks, do they go back into their houses at night like the chooks do or do they just do the bolt and you never see them again?

I had a similar incident a couple months back when I was giving away a quail that was meant to be a girl but turned out to be a boy..... I was getting insulted via text... And the quail was for FREE! Some people.... :barnie

@cluckcluckluke.... Or something like "Light Up Colour".... So you still have LUC for Lucas in there.... I'm not very creative but another possible way to get your name in there somehow!

Thanks fancy. The 9 ones that I can't tell only have the option of being 6 doors, 1 rir & 2 frizzles... I'll give it a go! How do I mark them with food dye? Like how do I apply it? Mix with water, etc? @rexy?

Anyone for a pile of fluff??? The little brown tinged one on the top of the pile is one of our little pekins.... It's reading my chart to check who has hatched and who is yet to arrive! :yiipchick
