Seriously?? :p They have much bigger feet than the couple of marans in with them (who I do think are boys). Not worried about sexing them yet, just noticed the feet.

Yes mine all had big feet from day one.
These are all pullets.

K Spot - they are all pretty, but my favourite is the splash orp. I'm determined to get a lavender coloured bird at some point. : )

Fancy - it looks like your chick is self-conscious about her 'big legs' now the way she is looking down at them. Lol. So much cute fluffyness!

Gorgeous pics. Looks like she is fascinated with her feet too.:lau Do they feather in at different rates for the boys and girls?

I've only hatched 1 x roo. I can't say that I noticed anything vastly different in the feathering. My Wyandotte for instance , the Roos have blunt butts and feather in much slower than the pullets. I've known that LG ( little George ) was a cockerel since he was about 2-3 weeks old. His comb and waddles went very red and the hens didn't change till they were at pol.

OMG have you ever had one of those days.... A guy wanted a marans roo and as I had a spare he asked me to send pics.. He was mega happy with the bird but then he asked are they wormed and vaccinated... Fair question.... I worm but don't vaccinate as I have never seen any real benefit too it and I have never lost a bird to illness in the whole time I have had them... I not a big fan of injecting chickens with stuff for just in case ... but I do understand why people do... Anyways I get email back telling me how terrible I am etc etc cause is place is disease free and I could be giving him something... Yes i understand that but don't buy if you don't want to its a free world...I did reply that my flock is also diseases free and that I love my animals and would never sell anything that could be slightly not right... He responded again that he was going to report me to the rspca for not vaccinating..... I didn't reply again. I have no probs if he does my birds are all healthy and well taken care of but gee really I was doing you a favour.... I offered him my spare roo for $10...

I had a similar incident a couple months back when I was giving away a quail that was meant to be a girl but turned out to be a boy..... I was getting insulted via text... And the quail was for FREE!

Some people.... :barnie

I hope that ratio continues on over here! So far, we have had 100% rooster ratio with Coro's.

Two girls and a boy this time please hatch gods!

:fl for you ben. I stopped hatching rirs cause my ratio was usually 11 boys to 1 girl...:th
The marans i got from phil i got all girls and from my own marans last three hatches were 6/6 from 12 and 8 girls/4 boys and this time looks back to 50/50
