Hi all. Nice to see you all here! I'm from Tasmania,and have mainly Silkies and Game birds,plus some Beautiful Runner Ducks(thanks Ducky!!). Am a proud Mum tonight,my first Malay game that I bred hatched today,here's a photo(don't all proud Mums show photos?)

Hi Fancy and I saw Satay further back hi Satay, I haven't been on in ages I hope everyone is doing well especially with the fires and the weather. I don't get notifications anymore either I'll have to check the settings.

Hellooo, we had bushfires in January and I can certainly feel for those poor buggers . Been busy here with the show season and horses. Broodies everywhere. Yes I stopped getting notifications and found it too time consuming to go looking , then suddenly I start getting notifications again. Fingers crossed for all our northern neighbours tomorrow in the face of catastrophic conditions. This pic tells it all.

Weird - I used to advise new Aussie members of this thread - until some were telling me it was no longer in existence. I believed them foolishly and just discovered it is still very much alive.

At our old house we used to feed the magpies and they would never swoop us. But I have been swooped before, they are scary when they try to grab your hair

I agree with you there!

Have you seen this "test" to see what deters swooping Magpies? It's hysterical! . Make sure the sound is on.

Hi all from Australia! Anyone from Tasmania? I am looking to sell an 8.5 week old Silkie or 2, possible cockerels. Raised under broody hen, healthy, friendly and fluffy.
White one and a grey one can go together so they have a friend..

On the topic of frizzles. These are a family member's baby Polish, ended up with 4 frizzles out of 7 babies. She was wanting to keep a cockerel though and she can't keep any of the frizzle boys...

They're just a week old and I was fairly accurately able to ID the frizzles early on.
