Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

Tee hee satay Sunday has probably been jumping in the air to keep her little hoofs off the freaking cold ground ... make it stop!! :lau

 Sheep can be so funny. My neighbour on the high side john said why sheep aren't they just the most boring things ... Hell no.. Tyson was in their paddock the other day and a bird flew past his face I was just inside the gate to our place and he came running back and hid behind me... For a big ram he is rather sooky. I could watch them all day some of the funny stuff they get up to.

Aww poor guy got scared of the birdy.

I watched my goose chase a moth around once, trying to eat it. The moth landing right in front of him and I'm thinking he's got you now moth but instead my goose let out a high pitched squeak and ran away. I think the stillness of the moth scared him. I couldn't stop laughing.

This one is for you @Fancychooklady And any other horse people out here :)

Love that sign - I want to ride horses now just so that I can have one.

My flock are cold wimps too. I went out to do the chook chores after the school run & one austrolorp was out of the coop. All the rest were peering at me through the windows. Nothing a bowl of warm feed couldn't change.

Stampy seems the same. No worse and still a bit slow.

Teila, I understand how you feel about Cilla. Snowy is the loud drama queen here and sometimes it makes broody time seem really peaceful.

Max was 12 here today according to the weather app, currently 8, not too bad in the sun but that wind was awful, took it down at least 10 degrees. I prefer the cold but this is not Qld weather.
I found a chook dead in the yard tonight when doing head count. it was Sybil, she did have a raw patch so possibly a dog , or the cold and my dog or the cat saw it as a free meal, I don't know :( ive been worried about her for a while so I guess it's a blessing in disguise. I'll have to keep her last egg and blow it out I think.

Speaking of eggs this was my basket today.

Sorry for your loss of Sybil. I hope whatever it was, was a once off!
Also, congrats on those blue eggs - they sure didn't keep you waiting. I had my first TWO blue egg day today and I've had the little critters since around November last year!! Feels like years.

Its actually quite pleasant here at the moment. Mind you when 13deg is pleasant you know you've been having a cold spell :)

that is so true appps. We got to a total of 12c yesterday but with the wind chill factor of 4c. It was bitterly cold yesterday. I can stand the cold most of the time just but when you add howling westerly winds to the mix...I'm not a fan ;) For the qld girls. yesterday morning at 9.30am the temp in Toowoomba was 0.9c with the wind chill factor of -5c.. No wonder we all call that town hell on earth :lau
