Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

@Satay - sorry to hear about that nutter! That would upset me so much. There is a lot of variety in practices in chicken keeping & I'm sure the RSPCA knows what healthy birds look like. It's possible he was just angling to get it for free & never called them at all.

Your birds all look great, Ash. Not sure which I like best.

Cwrite, your coop looks awesome. My poor birds really live in a ghetto.

Fancy, I think your coros have big feet. ;) Obviously those ones are roos.

Thanks Rexy, but a bit of white paint aside, a moonscape is still a moonscape.

My daughter 'helped' the chickens through the tunnel while I was busy so I missed seeing them use it for the first time.

Oh well, now to find out how early they let themselves out in the morning because it's open on either end.

No they all have big feet. The Roos are pretty easy to identify at about 3-4 weeks their comb and waddles turn red.

We have finally finished out sky tunnel. We chickened out of cutting holes in the coop & decided to use a window. Fortunately the window is just above a perch the chickens can get to with ease so we just need to make a ladder for the inside of the coop. I've placed a few blueberries on the coop end of the tunnel & we will see who is brave enough to eat them. That's Stampy's head at the bottom of this pic - named by my son after the Minecraft Stampy. We have the first one up for inspection. The one advantage of constructing the run after the chooks were in the coop was that they were not fazed in the least by the drilling & power screwing. I also had my cat, Rosie, jump into the run with the chickens to see what I was doing. She didn't go for the chickens & they didn't peck her despite following her around. They are bigger than her now so she'd probably come off second best anyway. I'm so pleased!
Your coop and run are lovely. You girls are definitely living the life :)

:idunno Apparently talking to some locals today he used to be a judge at the Esk show for poultry but he was so rude to people they had to get rid of him.
