Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

I just put mine in a cage in the coop for a day, then let them go the next day, never had a problem, the one at the bottom of the pecking order is the only one that goes the new ones

Pinky I think I was wanting Pekins, but my friends getting me some show quality blue pekin eggs, so I'm good thanks. My langshan's have been sitting on their eggs for 16 days, I think I might have 3 araucana's and maybe a langshan x ara. It's there first time so I hope they get at least one...

I think I'm going to have babies, the araucana is defiantly a rooster. The two langshan's have been sitting on eggs for a few days, I candled them yesterday and today and there is a definite difference, so fingers crossed. Is there anything I should know about having chicks, the youngest I've...

Hi reecey, I don't eat eggs either lol, but I'm obsessed. Just wondering if anyone has any rooster advise, do they make good pets or is he going to start attacking me, and how do I know when he's mature, he's humping the girls like mad, but not crowing, very red in the face and changing everyday...

Is there anyone local to Latrobe Valley that has Pekin pullets for sale, just fancied one. Oh and I definitely have a rooster, which will be ok, only cos I love her (him) to bits. But I'm thinking I need to get rid of some of the old girls, I don't think I can do it :( but I can't keep getting...

It should be about 20 to 25 weeks, as I said it was guaranteed a girl but as I only got one at the time I have nothing to compare to and searching for pics hasn't been very successful. I just noticed the saddle feathers today but weren't sure if the araucana hens have long feathers or not...

Australia - Six states..and that funny little island.

So I posted a pic a month or so back of an egg. I just assumed that since it was in a nesting box it must have been from my langshan, but they just started laying two days ago and their eggs are over double the size, so now I'm wondering who's laying these eggs in my coop, I've gotten three so...

Hi everyone, I don't look for a week and you add 20 pages lol. I had a death last week, don't know why, but she appeared to have blood filling up her lungs, she was a strange one, 1 year old isa brown, but she never laid an egg and always fell asleep while in mid walk. Anyway I want to replace...
