Oh dam!! That's crazy.
lol true that. Specially the second time as they got lost and I had to go find them.
My sister rode a little pocket rocket into a barbed wire fence, got pretty mangled in it as well.
Luckily for me I'm just to co-ordinated to crash

Is that why you drop the eggs?

Hi, boy or girl please?
How old?
Looks like a pullet.

Are those saddle feathers I see? If the feathers just in front of it's tail are rounded it is a pullet, if they are pointy and shiny and long it is a cockerel... I would say cockerel just by the shiny patches on it's wings

They are long and pointy, I only just noticed it in the last week, face just went all red and it's been humping all the girls all day, I've seen them do that before but not every 5 minutes, guaranteed a girl lol

I only have our little guy to gauge off.

Our roo's tail's curved quite early on, and they had quiet a distinct comb early on too. Our girls have always had very upright straight tails. Saddle and hackle feathers were also pretty clear in the lads.

Smudge at 23 weeks or so, been crowing for some time now and most certainly covering the girls!

How old is it in the pic? I am thinking it is 18-20 weekish, but if it's younger than I could be wrong (has happened plenty of times before lol)

Now I have stared at your pic for so long I have a doubt lol, age would really help narrow it down

At 12 weeks Smudge had a curved tail and the other notable feathers. If your is younger than that it could certainly be a roo, but if it is close to maturity, then I would still lean towards a pullet.

It should be about 20 to 25 weeks, as I said it was guaranteed a girl but as I only got one at the time I have nothing to compare to and searching for pics hasn't been very successful. I just noticed the saddle feathers today but weren't sure if the araucana hens have long feathers or not, pretty hard to find pics of them with australian standards. Her tails always floppy on her perch in the coop. But never like yours, I guess I have to be patient, I'm not lol
