I should add if one parent is split to white you will get 50% cream and 50% split to white, visually they are the same. Only way to tell which are which it to try different rooster hen combinations til you get white chicks.

I think some whites are easier to sex than others depending on the background genetics. So they can be made to autosex more easily. Or maybe it is just how you take the pictures lol

Thank you, That is what I was thinking, and hoping that she would grow out of it. I have some Legbar x Marans back crosses that look like a white sports. Very nice, but all had leg feathers and different leg color so was sure she was not one of those.

Before I found this thread I was wondering if this was even a legbar. Now I am wondering if I can sex my surprize chick. unfortunately it did not come out of the egg well. It is about a week old in these pics and looks more yellow in person. Any thoughts on gender?
