I will try to download it. If you are on BYC FB page, you will see it on there. Got to have a total knee replacement next Tues. so chicken chores will be put to a halt for me for a little while. Sure will miss them. That will be my incentive to get back on my feet again for sure. Thanks CSB for...

Posted this in Emergencies, but thought I'd post here too: I have a hen that I found sitting in my yard a few days (almost a week) ago when I went out to feed the chickens. She had been pecked on top of her head enough to bleed and make me think she had a concussion, she has trouble standing...

I go out to check on everybody and I found a roundworm in some bodies poop. I found 3 in some bodies poop last week in another pen. I just wormed everybody in April. Isn't this a little soon to see them again? I use Valbazen. Should I re-worm again? When I did this my babies were weeks old now...

Thanks for the kind words and the suggestions. I'm gonna pick up some tubs at TSC next time we go to put in the pens. Be glad when the watermelons are ready behind our house. They love that. Wished I knew what was going on with Ember sooner but she hid her symptoms from me too long until it was...

Your right about not being on here much. When I lost Ginger, the one with the cyst under the wing, was the last time I was on and that was in Feb. To much to catch up on now, but I'm sorry RF about the dog problem. I hate losing chickens to anything. So far this year we have lost 5. Ginger and 3...

Just caught up on a weeks worth of post. Busy like everyone else hauling water, checking on everyone and not fun with a bummed up knee. Still treating one with frostbite on her foot, using Eucerin on it looking better and the one with the bad wing isn't getting better. I have her to herself now...

Love the floor idea and like using the shavings also. I'll still be using shavings because I'll still be using some of the smaller coops. If I get this coop, it will be for the 9 Silkie/ Silkie-Cochin mix. Wish I could use it for everybody and open all three pens for a nice long run but I just...

Thinking about getting a 6x8 coop from Stateline Builders. It has a wood floor. What do most of you use on the floor. I use pine shavings in my little coops.

Has anybody heard of Stockholm tar? I saw on here that it works wonders on cyst and abcese. eBay has it for poultry. Thought I might give it a try.

Yucky, so I guess as long as it is smelling it must be draining? Funny, all this happened after her molt, wonder if it is from an ingrown feather shaft or something?
