Spoiled inside dogs. The 5 have to share and it's easier if it's cooked. Wanna borrow one of ours? The youngest has a HORRIBLE voice. Her favorite noise is to sound like she was run over. No nothing wrong with her. Well nothing physical.

I still cook them but the dogs get them.

The birds, the hawks or the meat spots? The birds are a bit skittish. The hawks are jerks and the meat spots are not appetizing.

I confess if I know the egg is from my most reliable gals I may crack right into the skillet. I have one or two who give me random meat spots. I blame the hawks for scaring them.

I crack all eggs in a dish separate from whatever I am making. I feel it helps me spot any anomalies before they make it into the rest of the ingredients.

My flock is split right now. I have 8 pullets from the last week of August so not old enough and 11 that are old enough to molt and take winter off. I was getting 1-2 eggs a day until about a month ago. Now a big fat zero. No eggs to share for far longer than that month. I will remember this...

I ended up making the last chicken eggs in the house for hubs. Yes there was bacon and toast. No I did not cook hashbrowns. I opted for a naughty breakfast of 3 cookies and an apple. Just say no to catsup on the hashbrowns.
