Comfrey would be a good sized plant with roots (maybe a half-gal pot size), and I would cut down the leaves for shipping. Its tough tough stuff so it will regrow pretty easily. i thought I had this particular clump eradicated and here it is in full force again this spring.

Yes, I'll be digging from well-established plants. Almost everything here is still dormant so I would expect good survivability. I usually send about a softball sized clump of roots.

Roots huh? Then I will chisel off a chunk from the big plant. I do mean chisel, that root ball is probably 2 feet across and dense! The spiderlilies look lovely but I think our winters are too much. :/
