    Spent my day going in and out of the chicken coop and runs. Some 9f our youngest chicks went in an outdoor run for the first time today and absolutely loved it. Lucky ducky, the half month old duckling (same as the chicks above) still hates swimming. Would not stay in the tub for any longer...

    White duck is one of 17 ducks. His name is Donald, he really hates me. That Buff orhpington was from a farm that was downsizing. She is one of four sisters we got. The spunky polish is pompom, and she's as sassy as she looks.

    Yep, said pellets have long since become dust after soaking up all the water. They were happy to be dry though.

    Today, I had to dry up the chicken run since it was muddy. My flock of 80+ chickens was trying to help by spreading out all the pine pellets I was trying to lay down, and trying to eat them to. So not only did I have to wade through a sea of chickens, but had to replace every scoop of pine...
