I have 8 chickens… 4 are BLRWs and 4 are other kinds. The 4 BLRWs are the same age as the others (hatched in Feb 2015). The BLRWs haven't been laying eggs for the past 4-5 days at least. What gives? The others are still actively laying.
I feel compelled to offer some words of wisdom… I recently joined this sight and the forums related to BLRWs because I love them, bought them as sexed chicks, and because I had no experience with the breed or raising dat old baby chicks. I asked the same question I keep seeing on this feed as...
LOL!!! You are going to drive yourself crazy. Mine didn't look "Blue" for months. They are just over 3 months now and some of them didn't start "Blueing" until a couple weeks ago. I bet that one is super blue!
Thanks StarMeKitten and cuties! As promised, here is the other BLRW in question… At a few weeks old people said both He and She. As with HER SISTER from yesterday, they are 12 weeks old tomorrow. I tried to get a couple good shots of her butt and comb.
What Do you Think Boy or Girl?
Ok Saturday Night, Nothing better to do. I have a problem. Well a couple but, the one i need your help with is, BOY OR GIRL:
I will have another ones pictures posted tomorrow night… Because again, nothing better to do!
Please overwhelm me with your answers. Thx
looks like 2 & 3 are slash and the others might be black. Our black are almost blue and are very pretty. at 6-8 weeks old, the black ones started getting dark silvery blue color in the dark areas. We have 6 and they all are a little different.
How old? The comb is pretty well developed. The roos we got had that type of raised comb. If they are under 2 months old, I would wait to ask people on here. I have gotten good and bad advice on the sex of mine. Some right, some wrong.
