Sorry that happened. I have been hearing a lot of people are having Issues with dry incubation lately. I wonder if there is someone going one with weather that is affecting it...
I would probably order a few more like Draig suggested.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
You need to post in the broody thread.

I am inside city limits otherwise I would have had a roo or two a long time ago. There is a local BYCer that has offered to sell me some of her eggs. I will just need to wait a day or so for them to be laid. :)
Well, that was a gross discovery. Summer had shuffled a half crushed egg in front of her. It was rotten through and through. Thankfully the membrane hadn't ruptured so it didn't start leaking until after I got it out of the coop. I wanted to see if there had been a chick in it but all I...

This is what they should look like, but I am having trouble seeing it... Don't know if it is the eggs or my untrained eye.
So far so good, but I don't think either of the eggs in the incubator are developing. :/. I can see the air sac and there may be a dark spot but it may just be where I put the light. I will probably candle again on Monday.
I will probably try candling the eggs under Summer tomorrow night...
Need advise, it looks like my other bantam brahma is going broody. I caught her sitting with Summer and she had stolen two eggs. I dislodged her, got pecked by summer in the process, and blocked her access to Summer.
How long til I know if she is really going broody or is just playing at...
This was actually just asked in the old fashioned broody thread; 5 days at earliest for a novice but they said not to chuck unless you are sure the egg isnt viable. Some will look like they aren't doing anything and will end up hatching.
I was on the old broody/ hatching thread and someone mentions that you almost will almost never see them move but they do get up to eat and poo at least once a day. Lots of people make their hen get up and out at least once a day though.
I put extra food and water in the coop, just to help...
Thanks, I think I will need it! The eggs sat for an extra day over the 4th, though I paid extra for a cooling pack to combat the heat for a whle. We'll see. :/
Forgot to mention, this is my first ever hatch!
Tamryc- sooooo jealous right now! I love the splash coloring, I am thinking next time I do this of going for a breed with splash coloring!
So glad I found this thread!! I swapped 14 D'Anver eggs under my broody bantam brahma on the 6th. She kicked out two and I put those in a micro bator! I figure one of the incubator eggs has a fifty fifty shot between shipping and being kicked out of the nest. It's still so early but I am...
