I did this. Wrapped loosely in a towel and they were close to body heat. I am starting to think this is a different problem, as 4 chicks died today, despite me trying everything to make them warm. Could it be a vitamin issue? Got the heater lamp finally, it was not enough to save the fourth one...
They were a week old that time, and all 19 lived. It might be because that was in late summer, but regardless, I set up a makeshift brooder and they are still just getting worse
A day maybe. And another one of the chicks is sick. I am starting to think it might be a problem with my local Rural King. This has never happened before
Could it be something going around? The other three are fine, but that makes 2 of six dead, and one dieing. I have heard that some people are having trouble with Rural King birds.
