Quote: I don't get a whole lot of eggs from these girls. About an egg every other day at best when their layin. Or like sweetness who MAY give me 25 eggs a year. So every egg goes into the bators. I still have 3 foam bators packed of only Orp eggs. Here is one more pic of the kids...

Quote: Doug Akers Buff are close to a UK Buff. Their certainly big enough, broad enough heads. I like to think their as close as you can get to English Buff and still show em. http://pic50.picturetrail.com/VOL427/739981/2386315/359835866.jpg Wow! That girl on the left is like a feathered...

I HATE that 'Day 3 death' thing...Perfectly handsome, spiffy chicks dropping for no apparent reason when the yolk runs out. Makes me so sad. I'm sorry, Kathy!!

I'd love to talk the guy who lives next to my mom into bringing some eggs home on one of his trips to England...he goes over almost monthly. How nice would it be? I'm mixing Giant Cochin into some of my Orps to try to get that fluffy butt, but it's going to take forever to get the feathered...

Have you guys checked the fertile or infertile thread? It's VERY obvious when an egg is fertile. There is just a white dot if it isn't, and if it is fertile, there is a very different bullseye image- you'll see from the pics that it's really no guessing game at all- the yolk will tell if you...

Quote: Sorry that happened...pls think good egg shipping thoughts for me. Tuffoldhen is shipping me BBS orp eggs today. I know her wrapping is renowned! FYI I've had breeders use my fedex number before and ship them overnight. All made it perfectly with good hatch rate! They are on their...

Well, I'm just broken-hearted that the eggs that I got are absolutely bereft of gorgeous little chicks!! I look at the photos and just can't help but be really irritated at the PO. Just look at the fluff!

I'm cooking mine away...can't wait to add these into my Orp project. I'm looking into importing, as apparently my mom's next-door neighbor has a mum w/birds, breeder pals, and goes home to England constantly...woohoo!
