true. just pointing out that she’s calling her brother irresponsible when she’s giving her birds the same quality of life as his.
and since the parents don’t seem to care for the welfare of the chickens, they’d probably be delighted to hear “hey mom and dad i found this great farm willing to...
this is exactly what should be done.
no one enjoys seeing an animal suffer but if you keep caring for his birds you’re enabling his habit of being a terrible pet owner. if and when they eventually die, it’s his fault and not yours.
with all that being said, STILL nothing has been done to...
i know this is hard to hear, but at this point it’s best to be direct; you really haven’t tried anything yet.

at this point i really think you need to revisit the idea of re-homing these birds until you fix the conditions they live in.
i have no doubt your intentions are really good and you want to fix things but it’s been over two weeks since you started your previous thread and all you’ve done...
another option is to find a local builder and barter for their services to build you a coop.
you can wash cars, do yard work, clean, run errands, basically make yourself useful enough to pay for them to build a coop.
instead of building a hoop coop, maybe you can check craigslist/fb marketplace for sheds or playhouses. maybe you can find a good deal.
customizing them is very easy with extremely basic building skills
@The WinterWolf is that pen/run predator proofed at all?
if it’s not, you might as well take it down. maybe you can use some of the wood to build your new coop.
OP has 13 chickens.
she needs at least 52 square feet of coop space. 8x8, like your recommended, wouldn’t only be easier but it’d be more appropriate for her flock.
