Cute as pie! I think they'll both be whites (??).
Good luck with the other eggs. It can be frustrating waiting for them to do *soommmeeethiiiing*.

Hi Nicky! I don't know yet! The hatcher is on the bottom shelf (4 shelves, 4 incubators and I have to stand on a step-stool to reach the top one). I wrenched my knee and can't kneel down without wanting to "EEEEEEEEie", so I haven't really studied them.
Got 5 out and pips in the last 2.

Hi! I'd think if the yolk burst, you'd see blood too. I don't know for sure, though. IF the yolk is burst, it probably will perish. All you can do at this point is hope for the best.

could it be that hes burst open the yolk inside...if so will he drown
Hi Nicky! I can't imagine why you are seeing that yellow smudge. I've never noticed anything like that in any I've candled here. I guess the dark spot toward the bottom is where she'll pip, but ???
Fingers crossed for a new duckling soon!

Hi! Don't crack-out these clear eggs (if they are indeed clear). They are still good for blowing out / crafts.
Emery Penciled sounds interesting --- I have to sit on my hands so I don't order something myself.

6 eggs you can see the yolk move round in the shell when you turn it, no dark spots, no nothing. 1 other egg, well DARN....its got MEGA veins and a big red spot!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi! That's what you should be seeing!
I think you did right by taking out the non-viables and adding more. It doesn't...
*Fingers crossed* I've always been able to see-by-candling an egg going bad before I could smell it. You should be able to tell if it's gone off just by comparing it to the developing ones if you candle every few days.
Could you see a red spot on the yolk with a 'haze' and the faintest...
Hi Nicky! It might be OK if the crack wasn't too bad. I have used wax or just made a 'band-aid' from masking tape to seal a crack before. Just watch that it doesn't go rotten.
On the misting thing --- I can get away with not misting duck eggs (or adding any water at all to the incubator)...
