Pete, Isis came out last night after some assistance. She was stuck in her position for over 40 hours so I took the top of the egg off and kinda rolled back the outter membrane to the middle of the shell. I placed her on a moist warm washcloth back in the bator and she was out without minutes...

Pete that is great news. My first pip was on the wrong end too. She is making no progress in over 24 hours so tomorrow I may have to try to help some. When I checked on her today I had a second pip in the right end

Sorry to hear that Sarah I hope you have better luck with your next batch. Pete I hope yours come soon. One of my duck eggs is hatching right now. Little early but she is still doing ok in her shell knitting a sweater or something.

Thanks Pete I found out that the fan in there did lower the temps in the bator quite a bit. So adjustments have been made and so far we are doing really good. I'm on day 13 hard to believe its been almost 2 weeks already.

How are the eggs progressing? Good I hope. My duck eggs are still doing good. I just added a far to the bator to help keep temps stable. so far so good.

I was thinking about that but maybe next year. I have a pair of Canadian geese at my house right now that raise their chicks at my pond. I will see how they act with the baby ducks when they can go outside before I start with geese. I don't want a bunch of mayhem.

Yeah the ones with the veins are my duck eggs. I was using my other 5 as something to compare to. I don't think my goose egg was fertile as there is no development that i can see. I will check it again but I wont keep up to much hope.

I hope so too. I don't want to get my hopes up too much seeing I have all kinds of strikes against me already with them being shipped eggs lol I will post pics tonight.

Once I get home today I got some cleaning in the brooder to do then I am on to check the eggs once it gets dark enough outside. Sunset is after 7pm.
