I don't know, does the blue in my avatar look nice to you? To me, it's probably one of the best shades of blue out there. But who knows. :P I'm totally fashion-illiterate and pick outfits that people think look ridiculous. Perhaps it's in the way I see colours. :lol:

Thanks AquaEyes. I know there are mixed opinions on classes like these. For IB, TOK is actually compulsory, just like the 150 hours of CAS I'm going to have to get down to at some time or another... *grumbles something about mentoring junior school children* I have to say I'm not finding it...

The fact that we're studying 1984 in english seems to be magnifying everyone's enthusiasm for the subject. The conversation of what 2+2 actually makes comes up an awful lot. :lol: Some of the possibilities, when you think about it though, can be quite daunting. o.o

Most definitely. :lol: Something I don't tend to do very often. But I have to say that there appears to be a lot more to existence than I originally thought. My mind never even crossed some of these topics before. :gig

Not as far as I know, but then again, we've just started. :lol: Just our personal thoughts on such things as the questions I listed initially. There are also ones about how we know something is actually the case; they use the example of how we know bananas are actually yellow, how we know 2+2...

We're doing this thing, as part of the IB, called Theory of Knowledge. It's actually quite interesting. My friend, getting into the subject, managed to create a fair few credible arguments along the lines of we don't actually exist, we just think we do. Is such a thing even possible?! I can tell...
