    They actually aren't in the water all day. They love to go hang with the goats or under the house with the chickens. They'll plop down anywhere to just chill! They quack me up bc they look like they're dragging a poopy diaper when they walk!!! Lol

    Ok cool. That gives me hope that she IS a hen. And her colds going away. Me neither! It's addicting. They're actually easy. We have three creeks,but I didn't want them out in the woods all alone.     Oh and the ducks,Moses and Elijah are pooping up the entire coop!!!! They're so messy! They'll poop anywhere and not think anything of it! So cleaning the coop is now a total chore.

    Last year,my husband shot a deer that had one rack. He didn't know it until we went to gut it. It's good that you take out deer with genetic defects though,so that they don't continue the bad blood line. Can cause some real problems that can eventually affect what venison we consume...

    If he's an avid hunter,he should be able to tell the difference between a tamed and a wild turkey. He'll still gobble and strut a bit. But more so if he had let's say.....a hen!!! Typical male! Lol

    Also...I turkey hunt so I do know that the gobble is actually a mating call. The hens will make a shrill kinda scratching call. Then,the Tom,or Jake,will answer back with a gobble. As to say,I hear you,where are you? And they'll continue this back and forth so that he can locate her general...
